How does acupuncture work?

Acupuncture works by stimulating specific points along pathways or meridians of energy (Qi) that traverse the body and its surfaces.

What are Meridians?

sustenance and nutrients a ecting the organs, muscles, joints, bones and emotions. There are 361 primary points and 71 meridians in the human body.

What is Japanese Acupuncture?

This style of acupuncture focuses on structural and/or constitutional imbalances that often underlie a patient’s symptomatic complaints. It is largely defined by its use of a highly systematized method of palpation; the ability to gain information through touch. Health issues are approached on several levels by combining Classical Chinese medical principles with modern pathophysiology. As a rule the needling methods are shallow and virtually painless, using the smallest gauge needles

What is Five Element Alchemical Acupuncture?

This style of acupuncture facilitates psychological and spiritual healing. It  is a creative process in which both practitioner and patient are actively engaged and is organized around traditional Chinese medicine and Taoist alchemical principles and insights. It uses the tools of traditional Chinese medicine as well as active imagination, meditation, visualization, and archetypal imagery to move qi and support transformational processes. Needle techniques are directed at using the minimal amount of stimulation on the most potent points to create the largest effect during a given treatment.

What is Acupuncture Physical Medicine?

Acupuncture Physical Medicine utilizes myofascial trigger point release to help release pain. It utilizes palpation and observation to identify stress induced “holding patterns”. These patterns restrict the movement of energy and will eventually give rise to pain and/or discomfort. Myofascial release techniques of tight tender points are used to help clear energetic blocks in order to improve internal organ functions and the emotional state of the individual.

What is Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture?

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is a safe, effective alternative to plastic surgery, laser treatment, dermabrasion, chemical peels, collagen and botox. It helps the face look younger, healthier and more radiant. It may erase as many as five to fifteen years from the face, with results apparent after just a few treatments. Fine lines may be entirely eliminated and deeper wrinkles diminished. Bags under the eyes can be reduced, jowls firmed, puffiness eliminated, droopy eyelids lifted and double chins minimized.
Generally, the course of treatment consists of 10-12 treatments. The effects become most noticeable and lasting on or about the seventh session. Each person responds differently, depending on his or her condition and lifestyle prior to treatment.

What is Nutritional Response Testing (NRT)?

NRT is a non-invasive system of analyzing the body using palpation of neurological reflexes and muscle resistance testing to determine the underlying causes of non-optimal health.
